Over $150,000 has been raised for cancer research over the years at the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC).
The board says it has earned a plaque of recognition from the Terry Fox Foundation after reaching the milestone.
Over $16,360 was raised this year.
“We continue to be moved by the service leadership demonstrated by all of our NPSC students, staff and parent communities who have supported this worthy cause over the years,” says Paula Mann, Director of Education.
NPSC says the St. Theresa Catholic School community has raised over $92,000 over the years.
The Callander school has been recognized in the top 25 elementary schools for Terry Fox run fundraisers by the national foundation for their accomplishments for the 2022 school year.
NPSC had eight schools across the board participate in the school run initiative for the fundraiser.
