An incident Sunday at the waterfront has led to an assault with a weapon charge for a city man.
The North Bay Police Service says around 4 pm a person began acting aggressively towards a family at the waterfront and swung a metal object in the direction of one person.
Officers attended the scene and arrested the accused, who is not known to the victims.
Police also say the 37-year-old man is facing charges after property was stolen from an Algonquin Avenue business earlier in the day.
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
