City police ERT training at the waterfront Friday

You can expect to see an increased police presence and officers in tactical gear along the North Bay waterfront, near the Boat Restaurant, on Friday morning.

The North Bay Police Service is advising the public that officers with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) are taking part in training exercises.

The training session takes place between 8 am and noon and will not result in any street closures.

Police say the public can continue to access the waterfront as they normally would, with the exception of a specific area around the Boat Restaurant.

The North Bay Police Service’s ERT includes 12 officers who receive regular training to effectively respond to all kinds of high-risk incidents.
