You can expect to see an increased police presence and officers in tactical gear along the North Bay waterfront, near the Boat Restaurant, on Friday morning. Â
The North Bay Police Service is advising the public that officers with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) are taking part in training exercises.Â
The training session takes place between 8 am and noon and will not result in any street closures. Â
Police say the public can continue to access the waterfront as they normally would, with the exception of a specific area around the Boat Restaurant.Â
The North Bay Police Service’s ERT includes 12 officers who receive regular training to effectively respond to all kinds of high-risk incidents.
