Twelve social services groups in Nipissing will share almost $100,000 thanks to the United Way. An annual campaign, plus donations, have given the agency nearly $96,000 to spread among area support programs. Recipients include the Red Cross which uses the money for its seniors’ transportation program and food vouchers the AIDS committee provides to clients. Another beneficiary is the Alzheimer’s association which uses the grant on dementia art therapy.
