Traffic safety is everyone’s responsibility.
That reminder from North Bay OPP after a red-light initiative on the Highway 11/17 bypass earlier this week.
Ontario Provincial Police reports numerous traffic charges and warnings were doled out during the focused patrol, which took place from June 2-5. The OPP says 32 red light offence notices were issued with a total of 70 traffic-related offences.
Some included driving without a license and having expired plates.
Drivers are being forewarned by provincial police that the initiative will be continuing for an undetermined amount of time.
