Nearly $7,800 in proceeds from McHappy Day are going to One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre and the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation.
They each received cheques for $3,895.
Colin and Vanessa MacWhirter, McDonald’s owners, say they’re grateful to the community and their staff for their enthusiastic support of McHappy Day.
“We are proud to be a part of making a difference in our community,” says Colin MacWhirter. “Together, we are ensuring children and youth have access to the care they need, close to home.”
Officials say McDonald’s donation to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit “Wrap-Around Fund’ supports patients both in their transition from hospital to home, and in their recovery journey in the community.
Proceeds going to One Kids Place support the recently launched Family Support Program which takes a personalized approach to financial assistance requests.
