The North Bay Police Service is hosting the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Tuesday.
Members of the service and local Special Olympic Athletes will be participating, with the run beginning at the North Bay Police headquarters at 10:30 am.
Participants will run or walk to the North Bay Museum and then be brought back by bus for a celebratory BBQ.
All proceeds from the run and the BBQ are going to Special Olympics Ontario.
Nipissing West OPP are also holding a torch run, at 12:30 pm at Community Living in Sturgeon Falls.
Police say the Torch Run is the largest public awareness campaign and grass-roots fundraiser for Special Olympics.
