Ontario Provincial Police with the Almaguin Highlands detachment report a motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries after a collision on Highway 11 near Sundridge on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at about 7 am and involved a motorcycle and a northbound vehicle, that police say left the scene.
OPP eventually located the vehicle and a 40-year-old driver from Aurora was charged with dangerous operation, failing to stop at an accident and public mischief.
The accused was released with an August court appearance in Sundridge.
The highway was closed for several hours on Tuesday after the crash.
