A single-vehicle ATV crash in Perry Township, south of Burk’s Falls, has claimed the lives of a five-year-old and a 42-year-old.
That’s according to Almaguin Highlands OPP. Officials say emergency crews responded to the crash on Stewart’s Road at about 6:50 pm on Sunday.
A 42-year-old person died at the scene while a five-year-old was airlifted to hospital and later succumbed to their injuries.
Police report a 9-year-old was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation continues under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
