The North Bay OPP reports one person is dead after a collision involving a commercial motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
Emergency crews responded to the collision just before 5:30 pm Wednesday on Highway 17 in the City of North Bay.
Police say the pedestrian, a 59-year-old person from Windsor, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later died.
The investigation continues, with the OPP saying the westbound lane of the highway was closed for just under four hours after the collision.
