Police looking for suspect in ‘serious assault’

The North Bay Police Service is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in what’s described as a ‘serious assault’ Thursday night.  

Police say at about 8:30 pm a person was assaulted with an edged weapon outside a business in the 2000 block of Cassells Street.  

The victim was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as: 
· White
· Female
· Approximately 5’2”
· Skinny build
· Brown hair
· Last seen wearing a dark green coat and carrying a black or dark blue duffel bag

Police don’t believe there is a threat to public safety at this time and it’s believed that the victim and accused were known to one another.
