A special committee meeting of council has been called for Tuesday night.
The lone agenda item is the proposed Community and Recreation Centre project.
At last week’s council meeting, the issue was referred to committee for further discussion.
Staff compiled a report with three options for council to consider after the tender process saw the cost of the project come in significantly higher than estimated.
The lowest bid was just over $69 million.
Two options would cancel the tender and redesign the building with one also reviewing the building’s function.
Option number three would award the tender.
