Jason Long is now a staff sergeant while Erin Honeysett and Roger Drolet have been promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Officials say collectively they bring over 60 years of policing experience with the city police service.

“I am looking forward to working with these officers as they take on ever increasing responsibilities within our organization,” says Jeff Warner, Inspector of Operations. “They share a common dedication to the policing profession and a commitment to the safety of our community. The leadership abilities of S/Sgt. Long, and Sergeants Honeysett and Drolet will help guide our younger officers through some of the challenges of police work and I look forward to their continued contribution to the future of the North Bay Police Service.”

After successfully completing their training at the Ontario Police College, Jacob Dalton-Kaufman and Dustin Rice were also sworn in as constables.

They are both graduates of Canadore and Nipissing and will begin their work patrolling the City of North Bay in the coming weeks.

“Our new officers bring a great level of enthusiasm to their work. They will be excellent additions to our team at the North Bay Police Service,” says Chief Scott TOD. “The promotions of S/Sgt. Long and Sgts. Honeysett and Drolet are well deserved. Their careers have been marked by a profound dedication to the policing profession and the community of North Bay.”

Scott says the police service and the people of North Bay will be well served with the three officers in enhanced leadership roles.
