Labour Day is a Statutory Holiday in Ontario with the usual retail and government office closures coming up on Monday.
That includes North Bay City Hall, which will reopen on Tuesday morning.
The city also says transit buses won’t be running and the Merrick Landfill will be closed.
With no collection on Monday, regular curbside garbage and recycling pick-up will also be delayed a day next week.

Meantime, the North Bay and District Labour Council is holding its 18th annual Labour Day picnic on Monday. The free event runs from noon to 3 pm at the Kiwanis Bandshell at the waterfront.
Officials say there will be free food, bouncy castles and information booths. The theme this year focuses on Canada’s unions.
