A report of a stolen North Bay hydro truck has led to several charges for a 20-year-old man.
The patient of the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s psychiatric unit is accused of kicking open a security door and pulling a fire alarm to get out of the facility yesterday. He then jumped into an unoccupied North Bay Hydro truck, and while driving away hit a parked Jeep.
He began heading westbound on Highway 17, where he was later stopped by the OPP. The man faces a slew of charges including mischief, theft and failing to stop at the scene of a crash.
