Several people will be ‘Up The Creek Without A PADDLE’ later this week.
The annual PADDLE Program (Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences) fundraiser takes place Friday from 1-3 pm at Olmsted Beach on Trout Lake.
“Earlier this year, for the first time ever, PADDLE received vital funding that is being used to address the ever-growing wait list for The PADDLE Program,” states a release. “Despite the generous support, the need for donations to maintain PADDLE is as strong as ever.”
On Friday afternoon, participants will be sent out onto Trout Lake in a Dragon Boat, without a paddle.
They are then encouraged to raise funds for the PADDLE Program to “Buy” their paddle to return to shore.
Donations can also be made on PADDLE’s website.
