Federal Community Services Recovery funding is on its way to three area organizations.
Nearly $170,000 has been announced by United Way Centraide North East Ontario for Nipissing.
The following projects are being supported:
· $71,000 to increase technology and hybrid tools at Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre.
· $62,684 for the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area to create a flexible space that will support educational programming, group sessions and more.
– $36, 020 for Nipissing Regional Community Residential Hospice to create a new bilingual website with education and training resources.
Officials say the $400 million recovery fund is a one-time investment to help community service organizations adapt and modernize to provide services through the pandemic recovery and beyond.
