Over $54,000 was raised at this past weekend’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run For The Cure.
Over 200 people took part on Sunday.
The event has grown to be Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led event to support the fight against breast cancer, according to its website.
In the weeks leading up to this year’s run, officials said they’ve raised $1.2 million in the 18 years of holding the event.
Next year’s 1 km and 5 km run event takes place Oct. 6, 2024.
