Police report a 33-year-old city man has been charged after a smoke bomb was deployed at a Seymour Street business in mid-September.
The North Bay Police Service says a coloured smoke bomb was set off to create a distraction, causing about $6,300 in damages, with $700 worth of merchandise then stolen from the business.
An arrest was made by the city police street crime unit on Saturday.
Charges include mischief over $5,000, trafficking in property obtained by crime and fail to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
