Update: Ontario Provincial Police report no injuries after a collision involving a police vehicle Tuesday morning on Highway 17 in Markstay-Warren. Officers with the Nipissing West OPP responded to the crash just before 730 am. A marked police vehicle and a passenger vehicle were involved. Police say the highway was closed in both directions for over five hours. The investigation continues.
Ontario Provincial Police report Highway 17 West is closed in the Markstay area because of a collision.
At about 8 am, Nipissing West OPP posted on social media that officers were the scene with both lanes of the highway shut down.
Ontario 511 says the road is closed between Markstay and Hagar.
There’s no word on the severity of the collision or an estimated time that the highway will be back open.
