City police report a 44-year-old North Bay man is facing a robbery with violence charge and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
This after an incident at a charity organization on Cassells Street just before 10:30 pm on Oct. 3.
The North Bay Police Service says the accused demanded money from another person, with the victim then assaulted with a rock after refusing to hand any over.
According to police, the victim was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The accused fled but police say he was located and arrested a short time later on Chippewa Street.
He was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
