You can expect temporary traffic disruptions on Algonquin Avenue, from Bloem to McLaren streets, near where St Joseph’s Hospital used to be.
The city says starting Thursday, Oct. 5 and continuing until Oct. 14, the sidewalk on the west side of Algonquin will be temporarily closed to allow for the installation of services to the former hospital site.
The new Water’s Edge long-term care community, to be known as Northern Heights is being built there.
Officials also say from 7 pm to 6 am the roadway will be reduced to a single lane for overnight construction work.
Traffic signals will control the movement of vehicles in both directions during those overnight hours.
