The local business community is honouring excellence.
Seven Evening of Excellence Business Awards were handed out by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce (NBDCC) on Tuesday night.
Bay Roofing and Exteriors won Business of the Year (16+ employees).
“The Evening of Excellence is a special event as we celebrate the businesses and individuals who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement and success,” says Donna Backer, Chamber President and CEO. “Shining a spotlight on the nominees, winners and all businesses in our district is well deserved and appreciated.”
Two Small Business of the Year awards were handed out.
Jim’s Locksmithing won honours in the 6-15 employee category while Mattawa’s Le Voyageur Inn won for 1-5 employees.
Not-For-Profit of the Year is Les Compagnons des francs loisirs while Tealia Carriere from Tickled Teals Entertainment won Young Professional of the Year.
Hello Darlene won New Business of the Year (Small) honours while Cascades Casino North Bay won New Business of the Year (Large).
The Chamber also presented the annual Betty Alcorn Memorial Award for Director of the Year to Carrie Girard.
Backer says Girard has exemplified dedication and diligence to the board by taking the lead on governance.
