Over $4,700 dollars is going towards keeping North Bay’s citizens warm.
That’s how much was raised during this year’s Empire Warms Hearts event. Over 730 bowls of chili were served in the even ton Friday. General Manager of The Empire, Ariane Savard, said she was overwhelmed by the community’s generosity and is already looking forward to next year.
The money goes towards North Bay’s Warming Centre, which provides people with a safe environment during cold winter nights.
