Texting 911 is now available for the deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired in North Bay and Callander.
To use the service, you must have a compatable T911 cell phone that has the ability to send and recieve text messages. You must also register for T911 with a wireless service provider.
People who are not deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired must still call 911 during an emergency.
