Four people can now add being an Unsung Hero to their resume.
The Rotary Club of North Bay presented “Unsung Hero Service Awards” to four individuals who officials say have made a positive and substantive contribution to their community or workplace, without seeking any recognition.
The winners are Megan Lee (Sunridge), Chantal Brousseau (North Bay), Christine Lacoste Froud (North Bay), and Seth Compton (Callander). Officials add each truly exemplify Rotary’s motto “Service above Self”.
Nominators were asked to provide the reason for the nomination, and these have been posted on the Rotary club’s website.
In recognition of the award, each recipient has been designated as a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest honour a Rotary club can bestow on an individual. Paul Harris was one of the founders of Rotary in 1905.
