Families are once again being invited to ring in the new year at Memorial Gardens and Thomson Park.
The city says the annual Families First New Year’s Eve celebration returns on Dec. 31.
From 5 pm to 9 pm, there will be face painting, a colouring contest, magic shows, interactive reptile displays, skating, and more.
There’s also an early afternoon swim session at the YMCA.
“We invite families to join us for a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve celebration,” says Wendy Prieur, Chair of the Families First Committee. “It’s a drug and alcohol-free environment, ensuring a family-friendly experience.”
Fireworks wrap up the free New Year’s Eve event at 9 pm.
