A snowsquall warning is in effect for the area with Environment Canada saying lake effect snow is expected to affect portions of the region on Monday.
The weather agency says 10 to 20 cm of snow is possible in some parts of the area, with more Tuesday and Wednesday.
Heavy and blowing snow is expected to reduce visibility.
Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services says all buses are cancelled today (Jan. 15).
Schools remain open.
