Traffic stop leads to drug and weapons-related charges

City police seized about $29,000 worth of fentanyl after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.  

The North Bay Police Service reports a vehicle was stopped on O’Brien Street just after 4:30 am.  

A search resulted in a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine being seized along with a pellet gun and cash.  

A 36-year-old man and 31-year-old woman, both from North Bay, are facing several charges including drug and weapon-possession counts.  

They were held in custody for a bail hearing.
