Investigating the future use of West Ferris Arena is the focus of a councillor motion on the agenda for Tuesday night’s regular meeting of council.
It includes a call for a building condition assessment, community input and more.
Council will also vote on a request to have fireworks on Sunday night to open Le Carnival des Compagnons.
The display will be launched Feb. 4 at Queen Street, between Amelia Park and Amelia Beach Road.
The water and wastewater budget, water rates and waste management fees are also up for approval.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm and will begin with a few scheduled presentations.
They include green initiatives from Nipissing Environmental Watch, Nick’s Place for Us discussing a YMCA Youth Canada Exchange and an update on activities with Creative Industries.
