City police have seized over $142,000 worth of suspected drugs and have charged two people with drug-related counts.
The North Bay Police Service reports the Street Crime Unit was watching a Metcalfe Street residence as part of an ongoing drug investigation when officers saw a man with a backpack leave the home and meet up with another person.
Police say an exchange was made so officers moved in and arrested the pair.
A 37-year-old North Bay man and a 40-year-old man from Sturgeon Falls have been charged.
Suspected fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, a variety of pills, and over $11,000 were seized.
Both accused were held for bail hearings.
