The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) has a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Melanie Shaye, a long-time member of the board’s senior management team, has been hired as CAO.

Officials say Shaye has been acting CAO since last November, also took on that role in 2019, and has been Director of Corporate Services since 2017.

She takes over from Catherine Matheson, who resigned at the end of October.

Board Chair Mark King says they’re pleased to welcome Shaye to her new role.

“With her proven leadership, experience, and knowledge, especially of our district, this board is confident that she will meet the needs of the citizens while bringing an invaluable focus to the organization as it continues to move forward,” he says.
