Measurement month underway at Northern Policy Institute

There’s still time to take part in the Northern Policy Institute’s (NPI) measurement month.

Officials at NPI have teamed up with organizations across the region for the third annual information-gathering effort.

The idea is to collect consistent, comparable data to inform decision-making at the local, regional, provincial, and national level for Northern Ontario.

Four surveys are available online until Feb. 22 with the themes including racism, reconciliation, welcoming, and individual well-being:

  1. Employer Survey – Measuring and assessing the ability of employers to meet the unique needs of immigrants and diverse groups. The survey can be taken here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmE24
  2. Individual Well-Being Survey- Measuring and assessing various dimensions of individual well-being in Northern Ontario communities. Here is a link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmIWB24
  3. New Arrival Survey – Measuring and assessing the experiences of individuals who recently moved to a Northern Ontario community. The survey can be taken here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmNA24
  1. Experiences with Racism Survey – Measuring and assessing individual experiences and perceptions of racism in Northern Ontario communities. Here is a link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmER24

Officials say the results of the surveys will be generalized in reports published by the Northern Policy Institute and other partners.
