Over $500,000 in OTF money for five area groups

Five area organizations are receiving over half a million dollars from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).

Most of the money, $171,500 is going to Victim Services of Nipissing District over 24 months to remodel services and retrain staff to provide more efficient support to a growing client base.

$169,000 will assist Les Compagnons des francs loisirs with technology and automation to adapt, improve and expand its programs and services based on a community consultation process.

Community Living Mattawa receives over $123,000 over 18 months to hire an IT technician and modernize technology.

Nearly $37,000 will help Nipissing Region Curatorial Collective Incorporated host a series of workshops and symposiums while over $22,000 for the Municipality of Powassan will result in increased staff hours and new technology to bring the library’s pre-teen tech programs back to pre-pandemic levels.

All of the money comes from the OTF’s Resilient Communities Fund.

Province-wide, more than $26 million in grant funding is supporting over 25 local projects at non-profit organizations across Ontario.
