FIRST Robotics Team 1305 built the space-themed machine, which accepts coins for a show.

Money collected goes to the hospital’s Children and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

So far, the team has raised over $5,000.

“We are so pleased to accept this innovative and ingenious structure that has been refreshed and restored,” says Tammy Morison, President & CEO, North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation. “It will continue to create an area of interest and wonder for visitors of all ages.”

The contraption is located in the hospital’s second floor lounge.

Team 1305, meanwhile, is preparing for robotics competitions in Newmarket March 8-10, and then at Nipissing University March 22-24.
