Laurentian Ski Hill, meantime, is inviting area residents to a night of free skiing and family-friendly activities.

Saturday’s event takes place from 5-9 pm and is supporting Chat4Chad and the group’s efforts to promote good mental health in the community.

The event is being hosted by Deacon Wealth Management.

“Physical exercise and getting outside are great for your mental health, so bringing Chat4Chad together with Laurentian Ski Hill is a natural and powerful partnership,” says Steve Deacon, of Deacon Wealth Management.

Activities Include:
• Free Lift Passes for Everyone
• S’mores
• Glow Sticks and Chat4Chad themed leis
• Raffle for 4 tickets to the 2024 Chat4Chad Gala (value $600).

Saturday evening, the Canadian Ecology Centre is hosting a Candlelit Labyrinth Walk.

Officials say the event is a natural mental health initiative with labyrinths used worldwide to quiet the mind.

They say the project was initiated during the pandemic and took a couple of years to complete.

There’s no cost for the Labyrinth walk, which takes place from 7-9 pm in Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, east of North Bay on Highway 17.

And the Friends of Camp Caritou are hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser and silent auction on Sat. March 2.

The event takes place from 5-6:30 pm at Trinity United Church (corner of McIntyre and Ferguson in North Bay). The cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under.
