Clean Green Beautiful North Bay (CGB) is back for a sixth year.
CGB’s annual litter cleanup campaign kicks off this spring, and will see local residents picking up litter throughout the year. To unite the community for the endeavour, CGB is inviting everyone to participate in the official citywide cleanup on Earth Day weekend, April 20 and 21.
This year, the organization will look to build on attaining the highest accolade in the Communities in Bloom provincial contest, which earned them an invitation to compete nationally against similar sized cities.
“It’s a testament to the unwavering commitment of our community members who have gone above and beyond”, says Terry Parolin, CGB Lead for Tidiness Effort.
Officials say collaborating with schools, businesses, organizations, institutions, and the local municipality,
CGB has played a pivotal role in fortifying the city’s beauty, strength, and overall well-being.
“Let’s elevate kindness for both people and planet by actively participating,” says Hariett Madigan, CGB Chair.
