City looks to community artists for Overpass Banner Art Project

The City is putting out a call to artists and designers to help add some colour and creativity to the Lakeshore Drive overpass.

According to the city, the Overpass Banner Art Project aims to engage local artists to create banners that will be mounted onto the light posts along the overpass leading into West Ferris and Downtown areas.

Community Development Coordinator Bryan Kimber says they’ll be a great addition to the city’s public art, and will showcase the talent we have in our community.

The City of North Bay is seeking submissions that reflect the diversity of the community and is encouraging applicants from all local artists and designers.

Successful applicants will receive a $700 honorarium. Submissions will be accepted at [email protected] until May 6, 2024. View full submission details at: https://www.northbay.ca/bannerproject
