Oak Street traffic to be impacted starting Monday due to sewer replacement

Starting Monday, Oak Street traffic will be reduced to a single lane at Ferguson Street while a sanitary sewer gets replaced.

The city says the sewer is on Ferguson Street, and spans from Oak to Main streets. The replacement is part of the Making Over Main Street project.

Officials say Oak is expected to re-open to two lanes with a gravel surface before next weekend.

They add drivers should anticipate delays, and are advised to seek different routes until work progresses beyond the intersection.
