A 45-year-old physician is facing charges after city police were called about an incident at the hospital last Thursday.
The North Bay Police Service says a patient was assaulted and another person was threatened.
The male doctor is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Police say the accused turned himself in at police headquarters on Monday and was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
