Provincial funding is on its way to two area festivals.
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced Mattawa Voyageur Days and Le Carnaval des Compagnons are each receiving $55,000.
“The Experience Ontario 2024 investment will attract visitors to Mattawa and North Bay and increase our local economy,” says MPP Vic Fedeli. “Our government is encouraging Ontarians to explore all that these local communities have to offer by extending stays in accommodation, eating in restaurants and supporting small businesses.”
The 25th Mattawa Voyageur Days is taking place July 26-28.
Friday night’s country line-up includes The Washboard Union and headliner James Barker Band.
Our Lady Peace is headlining Saturday’s concerts.
The 62nd Carnaval des Compagnons is taking place in Feb. 2025.
