A flood warning has been extended for another week by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry for several areas in the North Bay District, including Lake Nipissing.
Residents are advised to keep a close watch on conditions and exercise caution around shorelines and low-lying areas.
Officials say water levels on Lake Nipissing are high, with the latest measurement just below the ‘non-damage’ level.
They add flooding continues along the shoreline of the lake.
The ministry says it’s closely monitoring developing watershed conditions and the weather, with more rain in the forecast this weekend.
