Harley Twin, Trauma Queen and Jo-WHAMM! are just a few of the athletes you’ll see at a roller derby double header this weekend in East Ferris.
Two Nipissing Roller Derby teams are playing against a couple of Durham teams at the Astorville Arena on Saturday.
Game 1, at 2 pm, features the Nipissing Bombshell Bobbers versus the Durham Region Roller Derby Select Team.
Game 2 starts at 4 pm with the Nipissing Roller Derby Fresh Team taking on the Durham Region Roller Derby Fresh Team.
Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for kids 12 and under.
After this weekend’s matchups, and a couple of games earlier this spring, the local teams have four more bouts this summer, including away games in Toronto and Owen Sound.
