Public art adorns the overpass

More artwork continues to pop up in the city.

Banners have been installed on the overpass between Downtown North Bay and West Ferris.

The project is part of an ongoing effort to increase public art in the city and to recognize local talent.

City and Public Art Advisory Committee officials gathered with artists and designers on Friday to celebrate the installation.

Over 70 submissions were made for the banner project.

Meantime, a large aquatic-themed mural has been painted on a wall at the corner of Main East and Fisher Street.

It was another community beautification effort organized by Tom Richardson.
