74 OHL players and prospects have been invited to Hockey Canada summer camps, including two North Bay Battalion forwards.
Right winger Anthony Romani is heading to the National Junior Summer Showcase from July 28 to August 3 in Windsor and Plymouth, Michigan.
Romani, the OHL’s leading goal scorer last season, was drafted by the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks at the end of June.
He lit the lamp 58 times last season for North Bay and added 53 assists for 111 points, to place second in the league scoring race.
The 2025 IIHF World Juniors are being played in Ottawa from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.

Among the prospects going to the National Under-17 Development Camp July 18-24 in Oakville is Troops’ centre Ryder Carey.
North Bay chose Carey in the first round, 16th overall, of the 2024 Priority Selection from the Oakville Rangers U16s.
He scored 30 goals and 36 assists in 42 regular-season and playoff games last season.
Hockey Canada says players will continue to be evaluated in opening half of season ahead of the U17 World Challenge, which takes place from Nov. 1-9 in Sarnia.
Coach Ryan Oulahen has also been named an Assistant Coach with Hockey Canada’s U18 Team at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The tournament runs from Aug. 5 to 10 in Edmonton.
