If you see an increased provincial police presence in parts of the city on Tuesday and Wednesday, Canadore College says there’s no cause for alarm.
The college says the Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit is conducting training exercises.
On July 30, exercises will be taking place at Canadore’s College Drive Campus residence and move to the former E.W. Norman School on Lake Heights Road in the afternoon.
Officials say a helicopter could be part of the scenario, and the training may continue into the evening.
They add the morning of July 31 will see training continue at the Lake Heights Road location.
