North Bay’s Rob Shaw is officially going to the Paralympic Games later this month in Paris.
He’ll be competing in wheelchair tennis on the red clay courts of Roland Garros, with quad singles starting Aug. 31.
Shaw is one of 126 athletes named to Team Canada, which will compete in 18 sports.
This will be Shaw’s second consecutive Paralympic appearance.
He previously said that COVID drastically impacted his experience in Tokyo.
“I am really looking forward to being part of the Games as they were meant to be this time around,” Shaw said when initially nominated to the team last month.
He’s won both gold and silver at the ParaPan Am Games.
