The AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area says International Overdose Awareness Day remembers those who have died or have sustained a permanent injury related to drug use.
The committee is holding an event Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre on to honour those affected by overdose.
From 4-7 pm there will be guest speakers, information booths, naloxone training and more.
Saturday, Aug. 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day.
