Fares increased on North Bay Transit on the weekend.
Effective September 1, the price for a single ride went up a quarter to $3.25.
Monthly passes are also up between $5 and $7 while a day pass increased by a Loonie to $9.
“This adjustment is necessary to offset rising operational costs, including fuel, vehicle maintenance, and materials,” reads a social media post by the city.
It’s the first fare adjustment since 2015.
Council approved the increases earlier this year.
