The city is replacing current rink buildings at three outdoor rink locations.
They include Graniteville Playground, Greenhill Park, and Police Park.
Work on setting up the new rink sheds will begin this week.
“This project is a part of the Parks Master Plan and aims to reduce operating costs and ongoing capital expenses,” reads a social media post from the city.
Officials say money was included in the 2023 budget, with the total cost for the three new buildings at $64,000.
The estimated cost to remove the existing buildings and install new utilities ranges from $25,000 to $30,000.
There are 11 outdoor rink locations in North Bay, including the Lee Park oval and trail.
